FAQ
Frequently asked questions about hotel QR menus
How does QR room service work?
You place a QR code in every room. The guest scans it, picks their language, browses the menu and sends the order. It arrives in the dashboard, on the server's phone and on the kitchen or bar display, with the room number.
How do staff know which room or lounger an order came from?
Every spot has its own QR code. The order or request arrives with the spot's name, e.g. “Room 214” or “Pool · P12”, in the dashboard, on the station's display and on the phone of the server responsible for that spot.
Can I charge orders to the room?
No. There's no connection to your hotel management software (PMS). But you can turn on “Pay at checkout”: the order stays unpaid and you mark it paid once it's settled.
Can I limit ordering to room guests?
Yes. Each spot can accept orders from everyone, only from signed-in guests, or only from the guests you've linked to that spot, e.g. the guests staying in that room, for the dates you set.
How many languages is the menu in?
As many of the 42 languages as you like, at no extra cost. The menu's buttons are already translated; you fill in the dish texts, and the dashboard shows you what's missing.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and the menu opens instantly. Then they pick their language with one tap. Your team doesn't need to download anything either: the dashboard, the team app and the kitchen and bar displays all open in the browser.
Does it replace the printed price list?
No. Greek law requires a price list at the entrance, and guests must have it before they order. SERVIRIS complements it: the same menu, always up to date, in 42 languages, with allergens and ordering from the guest's seat.
How much does it cost for a hotel with several outlets?
Pricing is per venue, not per table or spot. The QR Menu plan costs €99 per year or €15 per month, and QR Menu + Orders costs €149 per year or €20 per month. The first month is free and we don't ask for a credit card. Set up rooms, pool, restaurant and bar as spot groups in the same venue, on one subscription.
